This application is an alternative to the official Iris mobile application. This app requires that you have an Iris™ connected home system & sign up at www.lowes.com/iris. This application is in no way affiliated with Lowes and is provided free of charge and without any warranty.

Voice control notes:

The voice recognition I used is provided by Google - your success rate will vary. If you are using a wear device, the voice recognition is using Google Now, which will be much better. Here are some examples of what you can do with it (it mostly mimics what you can do using IFTTT):

Set living room lights on.

Turn thermostat to 70 degrees.

Switch bedroom lights off.

Set rain delay 12 hours.

Set garage door controller to open.

Set front door lock to locked.

Set profile to home.

Set alarm to away.

If you are having trouble with voice recognition, you can try using bare minimum wording:

Living room off.

Thermostat 70.

etc.

To use your wear device:

Do OK GOOGLE, followed by "start Iris Plus", followed by a spoken command. You can also select IrisPlus from the list of apps.

Visual update shows user when the devices have been updated/set and there is a noticeable speed improvement over the official app.

Starting with version 2.4 you can create custom IFTTT recipes and Tasker triggers. For official Iris+ IFTTT recipes go to Iris+ website (www.80degreeswest.com). If you create any new recipes/triggers to use with Iris+ feel free to share it and we can add it to the website.

Permissions:

ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - Used for the Presence feature to use your phone as a keyfob

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE - Used for the Presence feature to use your phone as a keyfob

INTERNET - Used to communicated with Iris servers

READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Used for caching for speed purposes and to store a log file

READ_PHONE_STATE - Used for the Presence feature to use your phone as a keyfob

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED - Used for the Presence feature to use your phone as a keyfob

WAKE_LOCK - Used for the Presence feature to use your phone as a keyfob

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - Used for caching for speed purposes and to store a log file
