I've had this app for years and never had an issue. I recently upgraded my phone to a GalaxyS24 Ultra and now I'm getting no push notifications. Emails and texts come through with no problem, but the notifications from the app aren't working. I've already troubleshooted on the Samsung side and nothing is working. I don't know if now it's on Viper side to provide some sort of compatibility update so get my notifications to pop up. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling amongst other things

Late October 2015 update is a good attempt to improve, but little attention paid to detail. 1. Requires an advanced degree to figure out where the check status or refresh capability is. I found it once, by accident, but haven’t been able to find it since. Should be available on the main screen. 2. Cannot “backout” of the app on Samsung Galaxy. Pressing the arrow back (lower right button) does nothing. Only way to close is by holding down the home screen button and closing that way. Good attempt, but this stuff is the basic blocking and tackling.

Hi Tommy, Thanks for the detailed feedback. Status is located below the car select menu, tap car name to access. Refresh button is across from Status title. Exit via back button will be added shortly, for now use home or swipe from recent apps page. App was designed to be left in background esp. for SmartKey users. Thanks, SmartStart dev team

Got the system thinking that it would alleviate my cold mornings, but so far it's been a bit of a disappointment. Its not 100% reliable, or even 70% on whether the car started or is unlocked. I was getting false returns on the app, so I took it back to the installer and they repositioned it in the dash in order to get a better signal, But I still find myself standing outside my car repeatedly trying to get it to open. Needs Bluetooth or remote antenna!! Update 2/2020: Same problems, with it!
